X2VOL (Community Service Tracking)

Throughout the school year we will have various college admission reps visit with students during the school day. Make sure to check the list and sign up in Naviance at least 24 hours in advance. You must get permission from your teacher to leave class and you are responsible for making up all missed work! (College Visit list can be found under “What’s New” on your Naviance Student Homepage.

Check out Naviance, Colleges, Scholarships and Money to view the Scholarship List updated by Lassiter and the County. The National Scholarship Search is also a great resource in Naviance- enter demographic information and find out what scholarships across the Nation you may be eligible for. You can also check out- collegeboard, gafutures, fastweb, etc. as well as the schools you are applying to. Make sure to check scholarship deadlines!

You can now electronically track your service hours through Naviance. If students complete 200 hours of community service before graduation they will receive a service cord to wear during the graduation ceremony. 100 hours need to be associated with Lassiter (there can be more) and the rest can be from an an outside organization. Please see this powerpoint presentation and video for more information.
